Bob Geldof Puts Together Band Aid 30 For The Ebola Crisis

Sir Bob Geldof organized a new recording of the Band Aid charity song, “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” on Saturday to help fight Ebola in West Africa. One Direction, Bono, Robert Plant, Chris Martin and Sinead O’Connor were part of the group that sang reworked lyrics of the song that was originally recorded 30 years ago for famine relief. Part of the new lyrics include the line, “Where a kiss of love can kill you – And there’s death at every tear.” It’s no “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire”, but it does make you feel all Christmasy.
