Billy Bob Thornton Joins Tina Fey’s War Comedy

Billy Bob Thornton is going to war with Tina Fey. He’s joining the cast of the war time comedy starring Tina Fey based on journalist Kim Barker’s autobiography “The Taliban Shuffle”. Tina Fey stars as the reporter who considers herself an “adrenaline junkie” and spent 6 years covering the conflicts and terrorism in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Billy Bob Thorton joins the cast along with Alfred Molina as well as Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman and Christopher Abbott. Robert Carlock who has worked with Tina Fey on SNL, 30 Rock and the new Netflix series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”, wrote the screenplay for the untitled war comedy. Lorne Michaels is an executive producer on the project.
