Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer of Green Day, spoke out via social media, calling out Enfield High School in Connecticut, who had planned to perform the bands rock opera, American Idiot, but cancelled the production over the show’s “mature” content. Armstrong expressed that the decision to cancel is censorship, though the schools superintendent insists it was due to the fact that it was dividing the student body. Enfield High School has announced they will be putting on Little Shop of Horrors in its place. Ugh, there’s nothing punk rock about Seymour Krelborne!
