The New York Comedy Festival will be celebrating its 11th year this November and festival partner Comedy Central has announced this year’s line up. The festival runs from November 5th through November 9th and will feature some of the biggest names in comedy performing at great NYC venues.
Highlighting the festival this year is comedy icon Bill Cosby. The Cos will be performing Saturday, November 8th at the legendary Carnegie Hall. On the announcement of his performance, Cosby said – “I would like to thank the New York Comedy Festival for bringing me to the great Carnegie Hall. Believe me, I have practiced”.
Also performing at Carnegie Hall this year, Amy Schumer brings her “Professional” show to the New York Comedy Festival on Friday, November 7th at 8 pm.
Real Time’s Bill Maher will be hosting an “Evening with Bill Maher” on Saturday, November 8th at the Beacon Theatre.
First time festival headliner Tig Notaro will be doing her “Boyish Girl Interrupted” performance on Thursday, November 6th at Town Hall.
Other first time headliners this year include Chris D’Elia and his “Under No Influence” show at Town Hall on Saturday, November 8th, Marc Maron on Friday, November 7th at New York University’s Skirball Center and Nick Offerman doing his “Full Bush” show at the Beacon Theatre on Saturday, November 8th.
Fresh off his “Live From Chicago” special this year, Hannibal Buress will be performing Friday, November 7th at Town Hall.
Maria Bamford brings her comedy to Town Hall on Saturday, November 8th at 9:45 pm.
