Paul Virzi’s debut special premieres November 2nd, and we’re really excited to see it. Our own Jeffrey Gurian was at the taping in Tarrytown, and says it was a real party full of comedy celebs- Bill Burr, Pete Davidson, Bobby Kelly, Yannis Pappas, Steve Mazzilli from Gotham Comedy Club, Impractical Joker Sal Vulcano were just a few who made the trek to the Tarrytown Music Hall to see Virzi tape the hour.
Paul Virzi: I’ll Say This, is the first of three specials that will be presented by Bill Burr. Virzi tours all over the world with Burr, and Bill says he’s ready. “Paul’s growth as a comedian over the last five years has been amazing to watch. He has found his voice and developed into a monster headlining act. I’ve seen him destroy in every imaginable situation and it’s great to see him get a one-hour special. Well-deserved and long overdue!” said Burr. Co-producer Pete Davidson said he’s long overdue for his first hour. “He’s relatable to all ages and really takes you on a journey,” said Davidson.
Watch Paul Virzi: I’ll Say This premiering on Friday November 2 at 12:30 a.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
The hour is airing under an agreement between Comedy Central and the Bill Burr/Al Madrigal-led All Things Comedy production banner. Virzi; Burr, Madrigal, Mike Bertolina of All Things Comedy; Pete Davidson and Joseph Gonzalez; and Krystal Stark of Stark White Entertainment are Executive Producers.
In “I’ll Say This,” Paul Virzi masterfully balances his edgy New York demeanor with his vulnerability as a husband, father and lover of nerdy things. Paul shares his hatred of political debate on social media, the challenges of manning the gate to heaven, his surprisingly ruthless young daughter and his unintentional sick thoughts. The trailer is a fantastic look at what you can expect from Virzi’s hour and he covers a lot of ground.
