The New York Comedy Festival has announced their starting line up for 2015 and its pretty spectacular. Judd Apatow, Bill Burr, Billy Crystal, John Leguizamo, Sarah Silverman, Norm Macdonald, Bill Maher, Trevor Noah, Patton Oswalt, and David Steinberg are just a few of the giant names that will grace the marquis for this year’s festival. We had a blast covering the events of the 2014 festival and can’t wait to check out this year’s events.

Save the dates from November 10th through the 15th for an incredible series of shows. Margaret Cho, Kathy Griffin, Bill Maher, Kumail Nanjiani, Iliza Shlesinger, Nathan Fielder, and Gabriel Iglesias are all on the line up which will include shows at Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, the 92nd Street Y, Carolines on Broadway, The Beacon Theater, the Skirball Center, Town Hall plus our favorite events, the ones that go down at all of the great New York clubs.

The biggest news is that Bill Burr will be joining the exclusive lists of comics who have headlined Madison Square Garden when he takes over the arena on November 14th.

You can also see Judd Apatow and friends at Carnegie Hall, Trevor Noah performing at Town Hall, Margaret Cho will be doing stand up at Town Hall, Kathy Griffin doing a show at Carnegie Hall, Gabriel Iglesias at the Beacon, Kumail Nanjiani at the Skirball Center, Iliza Shlesinger at the Skirball, an Evening with Bill Maher at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, and what’s been listed as an 8pm to 8am with Sarah Silverman and friends, but we’ll wait for confirmation on that before we plan an all nighter.

Norm Macdonald headlining five nights at Carolines, and there will be plenty of conversations, talks, panels and interviews including Billy Crystal with David Steinberg at Town Hall, A Conversation with Patton Oswalt at 92Y, and John Leguizamo also at 92Y.

And all of that is just the beginning, with more to be announced in the fall.  This year’s NYCF will feature over 200 of the country’s most recognized and emerging comedians performing more than 60 shows throughout the city.

“Our aspiration for the festival has always been bringing together talent from all over the comedy spectrum, featuring comedic greats and highlighting emerging talent in the industry. This year’s line-up is no exception,” said Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival and Carolines on Broadway. “Throughout the years, the festival has become a staple in the comedy and New York City communities and we look forward to offering another week filled with big laughs.”

Tickets for all shows are available to the general public starting August 17 at 10:00 AM EDT. Tickets can be purchased through the New York Comedy Festival website: www.nycomedyfestival.com.
