Aziz Ansari Still Has a Home at Netflix

Late last week, it was revealed that Chris Hardwick was welcome to return to his AMC show after an investigation was completed by the network. Hardwick’s not the only #metoo accused that’s getting the green light from networks.

Today Netflix made it clear that if and when Aziz Ansari is ready to do a third season of his acclaimed series Master of None, they would love to have him back.  “We would be happy to make another season of Master of None when Aziz is ready,” programming executive Cindy Holland said during the Television Critics Association press tour.

Aziz was accused of sexual misconduct- with some calling his behavior tantamount to rape and others believing his behavior amounted to being a really shitty date who was oblivious to the needs and feelings of the woman he was on a date with.  The accusations were made in January by an anonymous woman who says she repeatedly interrupted Aziz’s advances, and gave clear indications that she wasn’t having a good time. She said Ansari persisted despite her repeated requests to slow down or stop, but never accused him of using force.

Aziz had already declined to continue to a third season of the series before the scandal disrupted his career.
