Dave Chappelle Covers Radiohead’s ‘Creep’

There’s a headline that you’re probably as surprised to read as I am to write. Dave Chappelle was filmed doing a very Dave Chappelle-esque cover of Radiohead’s Creep at friend and musician Erykah Badu’s 45th birthday party. The clip is incomplete, but it gives a good idea of the environment at the sure-to-be-awesome party, as (possibly drunk) friends danced around Chappelle and joined in with him during the song’s chorus.

CBS Films, in a deal mediated by CAA, has bought the rights to comedian Demetri Martin’s debut film, Dean. The deal took place right on the floor of the festival, as companies were eager to jump on the popular dramedy.

HBO Announces Renewal of Silicon Valley, and Veep, Just Before Season Premieres

HBO has announced today that they have renewed their hit comedies Veep and Silicon Valley, along with the mega-popular fantasy show Game of Thrones, for new seasons in 2017. All three shows will be premiering new seasons this Sunday: Season six of Game of Thrones at 9 p.m., season three of Silicon Valley at 10 p.m., and season five of Veep at 10:30 p.m.

Vulture Festival Announces Jam Packed Lineup

New York Magazine’s entertainment and culture branch, Vulture.com, will be hosting its 3rd annual Vulture Festival from May 21-22. The festival highlights the best of television, film, music, comedy and more, and will take place at Milk Studios and a few other venues around New York City. Vulture announced last month that Sarah Silverman & Friends would be headlining the festival and have followed that up today with a complete lineup announcement that offers a little something for everyone.
