Astros Starter Says Balls Are “Juiced”

Houston Astros starter Dallas Keuchel believes that the MLB is using “juiced” balls. Keuchel says it is obvious when mid-range guys are hitting 20-plus home runs now and that “They want that exciting two home-run lead, and then they [the Dodgers] come back and hit another home run, and everybody’s still watching. That’s what they want. That’s what they’re getting.’’ This season there were a record-breaking 6,105 home runs hit throughout baseball, over 400 more than the record set in 2000. This is proof that everything gets an unnecessary reboot, even the steroid era in baseball, this time its balls instead of people.
