Following its sold-out run in 2020, the Asian Comedy Fest is excited to announce that it’s partnering with Rizzle,, the short form video series platform, for a hybrid live/digital festival in 2021 to continue its goal of celebrating Asian voices in comedy.

As the first national pan-Asian comedy festival, ACF and Rizzle are seeking submissions through the platform from comedic acts featuring pan-Asian creators from all over America. Winners will receive a cash prize and their work will be part of a special virtual Livestream show on Thursday, May 27th 2021, which will feature some of the nation’s hottest Asian comedians.

Confirmed performers include:

Usama Siddiquee (Just For Laughs, America’s Got Talent), Fumi Abe and Mic Nguyen (Asian Not Asian podcast, Vulture and AV Club), Michael Cruz Kayne (Late Night with Seth Meyers), Bryan Yang (Standup NBC showcase semi-finalist), Fareeha Khan (Reductress, Comedy Central), Youngmi Mayer (Feeling Asian podcast), Dylan Adler (NY Comedy Festival, featured in NY Times) and more.

In addition to the contest, the Asian Comedy Fest hybrid festival will consist of an exclusive live taping comedy show on May 16th on the rooftop at the Tiny Cupboard in Brooklyn, and an online premiere of the live show that will be combined with pre-recorded segments including  guest appearances by Julia Shiplett (Comedy Central’s Up Next Comedians), Bowen Yang (SNL) and Joel Kim Booster (Conan, Sunnyside). Contest finalists will be screened at the top of the show, along with the award ceremony.
