Arturo Vega (1952-2013)
The man made famous for designing the Ramones iconic ‘Hey Ho, Let’s Go’ logo passed away on Saturday at the age of 65. Vega also served as the artistic director for the band who are often cited as being the first punk rock group. Rock historian Legs McNeil announced Vega’s death and wrote, “Sleep gently my dear friend. You were the most optimistic, jubilant and fun pal anyone could wish for. I don’t know what the world will be like without, nor do I want to even imagine it… But I know you will find eternal happiness wherever you end up….I love you Arturo.”
