Artie Lange Remembers Roasting Donald Trump

Thursday night on Late Night, Artie Lange talked about some past encounters with Donald Trump, including a Friars Club Roast of Trump, and a golf outing. Lange told Seth Meyers that Trump laughed at everything during the 2004 roast, but that when Trump did a subsequent appearance on Howard Stern, Trump changed his tune after hearing Lange re-tell a joke about Trump’s financial problems. In a clip from Stern’s show, Trump goes from saying “he was the funniest” to “he was terrible, he did a lousy job.” The joke that changed Trump’s attitude was “Donald took his daughter on a drive through Atlantic City and said ‘honey, some day your name will be at the top of all these buildings’…that’s if you marry a guy named Borgata.”
