AP Correction: Robert Durst Is NOT The Lead Singer Of Limp Bizkit

Robert Durst who is sitting in an L.A. jail has been called many things, a murderer, a liar and a jinx. Now add one more title, frontman for the band Limp Bizkit.

After his arrest for one the murders he’s accused of, Robert Durst, the subject of the HBO mini-series “The Jinx”, was confused by the Associated Press with Fred Durst. The original AP wire story read:

“A Louisiana State Police trooper says millionaire Robert Durst has been booked on weapons charges in that state — on top of a first-degree murder charge lodged by Los Angeles authorities. Trooper Melissa Matey told the Associated Press that an arrest warrant was issued for the former Limp Bizkit frontman and he was rebooked in the Orleans Parish Jail on Monday under two new charges.”

For the AP, it was embarrassing. For Fred Durst, it was the best publicity he’s had in years.
