Anyone Got A “10-20” On Craig Kilborn!?

Remember when Craig Kilborn was host of “The Daily Show?” You know, before he left to host “The Late Late Show?” After a short stint on ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” Kilborn debuted the Comedy Central show only to leave two years later. Jon Stewart replaced him, and he just announced he’ll be ending a 16-year run that saw Stewart become a household name in both news and comedy. Kilborn suddenly left CBS after only five years of following David Letterman. Craig Ferguson replaced him in 2005, and he just ended a ten-year run that saw him top both Conan and Jimmy Fallon in the same time-slot, gain notoriety for his unorthodox and sometimes thoughtful monologues, and even win a Peabody for an interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

So what happened to Kilby? Awful Announcing went digging, but didn’t find much. His IMDb only shows six cameos since his CBS departure, the last in the 2014 parody “The Extendables.” He also had a failed “Daily Show” knockoff, “The Kilborn File,” which was cancelled six weeks into a syndicated test run. Other than that, he’s pretty much been invisible.

Awful Announcing’s Matt Yoder suggested Fox Sports 1 should give him a call, which would be great: whoever takes over for him will do awesome!
