Amy Schumer Talks Water Sports, JLaw and Gun Control on The Daily Show

Amy Schumer showed up to hang with Jon Stewart last night to start the countdown to Stewart’s final day as host of The Daily Show. She got a huge ovation, which Jon goaded into a second round before she even started talking.

Jon said he originally thought Amy would be a great replacement for him because her comedy comes from “a place of real intention,” but then she saw her movie, and said she made the right choice. “Fuckin a, you’re like an actress star!” he told Schumer.

When conversation shifted to the shooting that took place at a Trainwreck screening leaving three dead including the shooter, Amy said, “man, what a bummer, I was legit heartbroken just to get that news. I got a call, and I had a lot of missed calls so I had assumed there was a sex tape of me out or something. And I was kind of preparing for that and then to hear that news, it broke my heart. It was so horrible I did a press conference this morning with Senator Schumer who I’m related to. And..yeah.” Schumer said she wanted to do something from the minute it happened, and she was so happy the Senator invited her to be involved.

She also talked some more familiar topics, and we learned that Amy Schumer is persona non-gratis on the entire island of Martha’s Vineyard so she and her long time friends had to go to the Hamptons instead. It’s none of our business why, but at least we found out how ASchu and JLaw ended up crotch to butt on a jetski. Amy says she ran into Jennifer out on the island, and Amy just casually tossed out the idea to her that she and her friends were going on a boat the next day and said she should come, never expecting Lawrence to say yes. JLaw did said yes, Amy’s non celeb friends freaked out– cause what else would you do when you find out you’re going boating with one of the biggest movie stars in the world.  Before the day was done, Amy was fully paparazzi’d which left her feeling less than attractive, comparing herself to a gym coach, Alfred Hitchcock, and someone taking a stand up dump.
