Amy Schumer Added to Montreal Just For Laughs Lineup
For over thirty years, the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival is one of the biggest comedy events in the world. And the 2014 incarnation of Just For Laughs once again, is promising to be one of the comedy events of the year. Today it was announced that comedian Amy Schumer will be jointing the already amazing lineup, and she will be posting her own Just For Laughs Gala event on Saturday July 26th at 7pm.
Amy has had an absolutely unstoppable year. Last April she sat down with SiriusXM’s Ron Bennington to tape an hour-long episode of Unmasked, her second season of Inside Amy Schumer just wrapped on Comedy Central (to widespread critical and audience acclaim), and she is set to star in the Judd Apatow movie, Trainwreck, which she also penned. And somehow she’s managed to squeeze a gigantic tour in between everything else she’s working on. So it’s perfectly fitting that Amy will be headlining at Just for Laughs this year. She’ll be joining a pretty impressive list of performers who will also be headline — names like Don Rickles, Andy Samberg, Seth Rogen, Jim Gaffigan and Russell Peters will also be hosting galas at the festival which runs from July 12 through July 31st.
