Amy Poehler is making a movie for Netflix, and she’s going to star in it to.
On Tuesday Netflix announced that the SNL and Parks and Rec star will direct, star in, and produce a movie for Netflix. Titled “Wine Country”, the straight-to-Netflix film will also star Rachel Dratch, Ana Gasteyer, and Maya Rudolph. Tina Fey will also appear in the movie.
Long time friend and collaborator Emily Spivey wrote the script for the film which tells a story of longtime friends who plan a Napa Valley weekend getaway to celebrate a 50th birthday. Production begins late this month and will film on location in L.A. and Napa.
This will be Poehler’s first time directing a feature film, although she has directed episodes of Parks and Recreation.
The ladies recorded a musical promo to kickoff the announcement.
