ALICE is Ready to Kick Ass in Alabama Schools
An Alabama school system is providing University and High School faculty member’s proper training on how to defend against and attack an armed intruder. The program is called ALICE: Alert-Lockdown-Inform-Counter-Evacuation. Tuscaloosa hasn’t had an intruder in one of their schools since 1988, but wants teachers and students to be able to attack as a last resort.
The program starts with throwing things at an intruder, working as a group to distract and restrain an intruder, and ends with hand to hand combat if necessary.
