Ali Wong Wrote a Book That’s Going to Be a Bestseller

Ali Wong grammed out a copy of her about to be a bestselling book. Titled “DEAR GIRLS: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets, and Advice for Living Your Best Life” hits bookstores and websites on sale October 15th and is already available for pre-order.

The book will cover advice to her daughters covering everything they need to know in life, using the vehicle of heartfelt and hilarious letters to them covering dating, how to be a working mom and how she trapped their dad. It is a perfect choice for Wong who delivered two crushing back to back specials covering pregnancy, motherhood, and of course, how she trapped their dad. Wong was pregnant in each of the specials and became a stand up and television super star.

The books publisher, Penguin Press promises that Wong goes deeper in the book than either stand up special, getting even more personal. She shares the wisdom she’s learned from a life in comedy and reveals stories from her life off stage, including the brutal singles life in New York (i.e. the inevitable confrontation with erectile dysfunction), reconnecting with her roots (and drinking snake blood) in Vietnam, tales of being a wild child growing up in San Francisco, and parenting war stories. Though addressed to her daughters, Ali Wong’s letters are absurdly funny, surprisingly moving, and enlightening (and disgusting) for all.

When Wong’s first stand up special hit, she became an instant sensation, role model and yes, Halloween costume. We have no doubt her book- with this gorgeous cover is going to broaden her appeal even more.
