Workaholics and House Party star Adam Devine told David Letterman about the stroke of “luck” that changed his life when he was a kid. He told Letterman, “I was lucky because I was hit by a cement truck when I was a kid.” He feels like most comics have something terrible that happen to them, that changes the way they look at life. His thing was the that truck. He couldn’t walk for a few years, had to have his legs extended, was in a wheelchair, but the “good news” was he could say whatever he wanted to everyone. Um, congratulations? But Devine says he feels blessed to be alive, so that can’t be a bad thing.
Devine also talks about another maybe career defining childhood event- the world’s biggest house party.
