ABC’s Summer Lineup Includes Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night, a Fantasy Reality Show, and Betting on Babies
ABC announced its Summer television lineup and the Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night primetime specials will be back a seventh consecutive year, airing each night of the NBA Finals, starting with Game 1 on Thursday, June 5 at 8:00pm Eastern. Jimmy is really hoping the Finals go to game 7.
Returning to the network this season is “Bet on Your Baby”, a game show where parents will compete to guess what their baby will do next. “Bet on Your Baby” will be hosted by comedian Melissa Peterman, who made her film debut as Hooker #2 in the Coen Brothers, “Fargo”. Starting May 31.
The channel is also debuting its first fantasy-reality show. “The Quest” will be a kind of Lord of the Rings meets The Amazing Race, where reality contests will battle ogres and dragons. Your guess is as good as ours on this one. It premiers June 22nd.
Also new to the network, “Rising Star” an app-driven singing competition, more bachelor programming, and “The Astronaut Wives Club.”
