In a series of interviews with members of the American Humane Association by the Hollywood Reporter, it is revealed that the safety of animals is inadequate on sets and that some films with the ‘no animals were harmed tag’ actually had animals harmed during filming. The group alleges that a tiger almost drowned during ‘Life Of Pi’ and that a golden retriever was given a series of forced e-readings on the set of ‘Jack Reacher’.
