Team USA Loses Its Coach For The Gold Cup Final
The U.S. men’s soccer team will have to play Panama in the Gold Cup championship on Sunday without its coach. It was announced Friday that Jurgen Klinsmann has been banned from the game after getting a one game suspension during the USA’s semi-final match against Honduras. According to the disciplinary committee – “Mr. Klinsmann was ejected from the technical area for showing dissent towards the referee by throwing the ball in a violent manner during the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal match against Honduras”. Klinsmann had spiked the ball into the ground while protesting Honduras’ rough play. It’s good to see CONCACAF insuring the safety of grass.
