87-year-old Elizabeth “Mimi” Haist, happened to make friends with a struggling comedian by the name of Zach Galifianakis in Los Angeles 20 years ago. She volunteered at the laundromat where Zach, who lived around the corner, took his dirty clothes. When Zach found out two years ago that Mimi’s laundry career didn’t work out and she was homeless, he rented Mimi a one-bedroom apartment and now he pays all of the expenses on it.
