Seven Months After Acquiring Bleacher Report, Time Warner Says Bye to SI and Others.

Wednesday, Time Warner announced it will be sending off Sports Illustrated and 20 other magazines when it spins off Time, Inc into its own smaller public company. The move is expected to make it even harder for the magazines to fight for survival.  With the departure of SI, it looks like Bleacher Report will be  Time Warners top sports news dog.  Last summer Time Warner purchased the sports blog-website for somewhere in the neighborhood of $175 million dollars.
