First Woman Named Recipient of the Library of Congress’ Gershwin Prize

Carole King has been named the 2013 recipient of the Library Of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, the first woman to receive the distinction given to songwriters for a body of work. We can only say “what the hell have you been waiting for!?”
