Florida Wants the Paddle Back In Schools

Marion County School Board member Carol Ely wants to be able to paddle kids as a form of discipline, and she’s looking to make it happen in her school district. When she was a principal herself she administered corporal punishment, and it was only banned in 2010 to avoid lawsuits. Two years without it and she’s itching to get back into the game. Who knew paddlin’s were still going down into 2010?
