Coach Drops 50k On Ringer Little League Team
All in the name of revenge. Youth baseball manager Robert Sanfilippo’s son got bumped from a Long Island traveling baseball team of 10 and 11 year olds. So he did the obvious and spent fifty thousand dollars building a rival team call the Long Island Vengeance. He paid all their fees and bankrolled the whole thing, looking to beat the team that dropped his son. Well, the revenge plot didn’t work and now he’s facing harassment and stalking charges after he apparently sent threatening messages to the opposing coach. Revenge is a dish best served not through proxy 10 year olds on a Long Island baseball field.
