NY Gov Looking to Ban Tobacco in the State Entirely
Kathy Hocul is shopping around the idea of a complete ban of cigarettes, cigars and other tobacco products in New York State phased in over a ten year period. One of the ideas would start the ban for those born after a certain date, like 2010. Under that option, anyone born after 2010 would never be able to purchase tobacco in NY.

Netflix Sued Over Black Cleopatra
An Egyptian lawyer, Mahmoud al-Semary, sued Netflix for casting a black woman as Cleopatra in an upcoming docudrama. “Netflix is trying to provoke confusion by spreading false and deceptive facts that the origin of the Egyptian civilization is Black,” he said, concerned that the show contributes to distortion and erasure of the Egyptian national and cultural identity.
She also didn’t speak English.

Charles Barkley and Gayle King Have a Lot to Talk About
Or maybe they don’t. CNN claims that the dynamic duo’s new show will not be political, but they’re not really saying what these two are going to talk about on their new talk show. The weekly show will be called “King Charles” and run an hour each week starting in the fall. “We don’t want to say, ‘We’re a liberal, conservative, Republican, Democrat’ — that’s one of the things that’s already ruined television in general,” Barkley said.
It will be political, you just don’t know how.

Bill Hader Says He Wont Ever Do His Vinnie Viddicci Character Again
He told the independent that he had met an Italian woman who told him the character was offensive. “An Italian woman told me she was offended by it, and I was like, ‘All I’m trying to do is the old comic staple, you know, gibberish and everything.’ And she was like, ‘Right, but my father spoke like that and he actually spoke Italian.’ He added, “Your sensibility changes when you get older. I don’t think I would do that again.”
We all find italians to be offensive, that just means the character worked.
Matthew Perry Feels Bad About Keanu Diss
Future copies of Matthew Perry’s memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing” will no longer include reference to Keanu Reeves. Perry says he feels bad about insulting the actor and the movie John Wick. “I said a stupid thing. It was a mean thing to do,” Perry said according to the LA Times. “I pulled his name because I live on the same street. I’ve apologized publicly to him. Any future versions of the book will not have his name in it. If I run into the guy, I’ll apologize. It was just stupid,”
All of us have forgotten your book. I wouldn’t worry about it.
