Super Bowl ads are not just a watermark for marketing creativity, they’re also symbolic of where we are culturally as a nation. Some years the biggest ads have focused on movies, some years its been tech, and last year it was crypto. On his Fox show Undisputed, Sharpe scolded Ja Morant for hanging around the wrong type of people. “I wish Ja would realize he’s not a thug. Ja is a really good basketball player. Brett Easton Ellis is Talking Bout His Generation
The author just published his first new work in 13 years, and in an interview explaining what he sees as a quality of Gen X and particularly the way Gen X reacted to Trump. “And as a member of Gen X, I was interested in why we had gotten into such a hysterical divide. I think part of the reason why Gen X is the most conservative of the generations — much more than boomers, much more than millennials — is that we had the most freedom. We looked to be shocked. We wanted to be offended. We loved dirty jokes. We loved music.”
You wanted to be offended or offensive?
