Torrent King Gets Busted in Cambodia

Co-founder of the Pirate Bay, the world’s largest torrent site, Gottfrid Svartholm, has been busted in Cambodia. He fled after being hit with a huge fine and a jail sentence for copyright infringement in Sweden. No specific reason for his arrest has been revealed, but his lawyer says, “As far as I understand it is because he is on an international wanted list.”

He’s been on the run since 2010, and his jail sentence is set to begin in January. Look, kids, torrenting music and movies just doesn’t pay. You’ll end up in a Swedish prison eating fish head stew every night.
