The Original Cast of The Sandlot Will Return For a Sequel Series

“The Sandlot” director David Mickey Evans said that he recently sold a 2-season sequel to a streaming service that will feature the original cast and take place 20 years later. “I just sold a Sandlot television show,” Evans said on a podcast called The Rain Delay. “We’re about to get an order for the first two seasons.” The series will take place in 1984.

It’s been twenty six years since the movie’s release in 1983 starring Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar, Patrick Renna, Chauncy Leopardis, Marty York, Grant Gelt, Victor DiMattia, Shane Obedzinski and Brandon Quintin Adams as kids who played baseball in the sandlot. Karen Allen, James Earl Jones, Art LaFleur and and Dennis Leary starred as the film’s adult cast.

So if you loved The Sandlot but hated the aspect of childhood then this show is for you!
