Dick Cavett, Keegan-Michael Key, Darrell Hammond Join Billy Crystal Theater Show

Dick Cavett, Keegan-Michael Key, Darrell Hammond, and more are joining the cast of Billy Crystal’s “Have a Nice Day.”

We previously announced that Audible is bringing Billy Crystal back to the theater this October, with an all star cast to perform a live reading of a poignant story about a man desperately scrambling to put his affairs in order to save his presidency, his marriage, his relationship with his daughter and possibly his life.

Today Audible announced that Dick Cavett, Keegan-Michael Key, Darrell Hammond, Auli’i Cravalho, Irene Bedard, Chris Cafero, Robin Thede, and Robert King have all joined the cast for the show. Dick Cavett will play the role of narrator. The all-star roster joins the already announced starring cast of Crystal, Annette Benning and Kevin Kline. It was announced that the play will have a 13 person cast leaving two more names yet to be revealed.

The live read will be recorded with a live theater audience at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre and will be available to Audible listeners worldwide.

Kline plays President David Murray who has lost control of Congress and needs to decide whether he will run for a second term. His wife, and his teenage daughter are barely speaking to him, and its at this moment that the Angel of Death has chosen to send a “repo man” to give Murray a the news that he has only one day to live. Crystal plays the Angel of Death.
