Jim Carrey Shows Off New Nike’s on HBO

Bill Maher finally landed one of his dream guests- Jim Carrey- to promote Carrey’s new Showtime series, Kidding. Carrey took the stage on Maher’s “Real Time” Friday night showing off his brand new Nike kicks, which he bought in support of Colin Kaepernick and the right to protest. “Check this out, I went out today and bought me some freedom-friendly Nike’s,” he said, proudly showing off his new sneaks. “As a salute to Colin Kaepernick, to Nike, congratulations on your fantastic choice.”

Carrey also said he’s a fan of Real Time, “I love you so much, I’ve been glued to the show forever, and I absolutely admire what you do.” Carrey says his 25 year wait to be on the show was because he had to wait to start reading. Carrey also revealed that he and Maher auditioned for The Comedy Store on the same night. “You killed and I sucked,” he said, recalling that his set was so bad he ran back to Canada for two years.

During the hour, Carrey talked about feeling sorry for kids growing up in a time where it seems okay to lie. He talked about his paintings, and called Trump a used car salesman. “He didn’t make America great again but he did turn back the odometer.”
