Garry Shandling Estate Creates Free Digital Museum of Shandling’s Writings, Journals and Video

The Shandling Estate just launched a new Garry Shandling website site that fans are going to love. It’s like visiting a presidential library that makes you laugh, and you don’t even have to leave home to enjoy it.
The website went live at 9 AM today at GarryShandling.com and already has so many pages to explore, but this site is just getting started. Everyone can read, enjoy and share Shandling legacy material– stand up videos, writings, journals, and personal photos- without charge. You can already watch nine videos, browse through four of Garry’s stand up notebooks and read some biomaterials while scrolling through photos. Photo albums from both of Garry’s influential and groundbreaking television shows- “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show” and “The Larry Sanders Show” are also available. But what’s on the site now is just a starting point. The Estate will be gradually incorporating more comedy writings, journals, video material and other pieces of Garry’s legacy into the site.
“The site is being launched to give people access to Garry’s writings, both comedy notes and journals,” said Bill Isaacson who was not only Shandling’s lawyer but also a good friend. “So it’s really for two kinds of people, some who just want to smile and others who can learn from his comedic process and journey.”
The site is an extension of the Shandling themed journey already started by Judd Apatow in his four-plus hour Shandling documentary, “The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling,” which aired on HBO in March.
