Norman Lear, 96, Planning to Bring Back a Long List of Classic TV Titles

Norman Lear says he’s thrilled about a new two-year first-look deal with Sony Pictures TV that will center on plans to take a fresh look at some of the hit classic tv titles that Lear created, and that influenced generations. All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Good Times, Maude and Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, are among the titles that could be re-imagined.

Sony Pictures already produces the reboot version of Lear’s classic One Day at a Time which has been having a strong run on Netflix.

It’s a golden age for reboots and revivals on television, and nobody created more classic hits than Lear, who turned 96 years old today.
