‘Quiet Cars’ Must Make Noise By 2020
The Department of Transportation ruled that manufacturers of “quiet cars” will be required by 2020 to emit engine-like sounds while running.
It’s safety concern that quiet cars were too hazardous to blind or hard-of-hearing pedestrians.
Wouldn’t it be easier just to put a cowbell on it1?
