T.J. Miller Quietly Replaced as the Voice of Snot

Mucinex has replaced T.J. Miller as the voice of mucus in their commercials. Sunday night while we were paying attention to the game more than the commercials, Mucinex aired a new ad with Jason Manztoukas voicing their animated phlegmy mascot instead of Miller who had been the recognizable voice of the product since 2014.
If you didn’t notice, you’re not alone. Manzoukas’ take on Mr. Mucus is at least reminiscent of Miller’s performances, and if you weren’t paying close attention (like us) you probably missed the recast.
Although the company has not issued a statement about why they replaced T.J., it appears that the decision was motivated by allegations leveled against Miller last month by a former girlfriend who claimed that T.J. sexually assaulted her when Miller was in college at George Washington University. Miller and his wife have emphatically denied the allegations which were investigated by the college.
The company deleted all of Miller’s previous ads from their YouTube channel.
