Surprise! Netflix Announces A BONUS Chappelle Special

If you already had your calendar marked to watch Dave Chappelle’s new hour special, Equanimity on New Years Eve, clear off some more time because Netflix announced on Friday that they will be releasing not one but two hour specials.

Dave Chappelle: The Bird Revelation will also premiere on December 31. He recorded Equanimity in late September in Washington D.C., and said that night that this would be the last special he recorded for awhile. “After this shit,” he told the audience, “it’s time to make America wait again.” But fuck that, because only two months later, Chappelle recorded an entirely different hour in Los Angeles, at the Comedy Store’s famed Belly Room in front of only 50 people.

That should be enough to get you started, but if it’s not, wake up early on New Year’s Day and tune in to Comedy Central for a full day marathon of Chappelle’s show followed by a re-airing of Chappelle’s first hour special, Killin Them Softly.
