Some Cities Are Coming Off Real Thirsty Trying To Lockdown Amazon’s New HQ

Multiple cities are trying to lure Amazon to set up their new HQ with them. They aren’t just placing normal bids though, they’re being as tacky as a promoposal video. New York City is lighting a bunch of buildings orange, Arizona sent a 21 foot Cactus to the Amazon Seattle HQ, Kansas City’s mayor wrote 1,000 5 star reviews for Amazon products, and the Ottawa Senators had fans applaud for Amazon with a hockey arena graphic. And those were just a few of the attempts. Ya know what would have probably been the most effective? Just offering the most fiscally beneficial deal.
