Florida Workers Break Confederate Monument Trying To Remove It

The plan seemed like it would work. A Confederate monument was being removed in the middle of the night from the Manatee County Courthouse in Bradenton, Florida to avoid protests. But remember, this is Florida. The workers broke the obelisk in half trying to take it down. Now it’s even more of a monument to the South. Because people are confident it won’t rise again either.
