The Worldwide Leader In Sports, ESPN, went big when it came to laying off employees.The layoffs are due to ESPN having to cover fees for the rights to air pro and college games in multiple sports, while also bleeding subscribers who are leaving the network in massive numbers. Over 100 staffers had their jobs cut including Ed Werder, Danny Kanell, Jayson Stark and Super Bowl winning quarterback Trent Dilfer. Wow, Dilfer too!? All of a sudden, massive company layoffs don’t sound like such a bad thing.
