D’Angelo Makes Stunning Appearance at Bonnaroo!

After nearly a dozen years away, D’Angelo – who is often mentioned as the heir apparent to such soul greats as Marvin Gaye and Al Green – made a stunning appearance at last night’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. More of a jam than a concert, D’Angelo covered songs by Jimi Hendrix, Funkadelic, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles’ ‘She Came In Through The Bathroom Window’, which you can see here. D’Angelo’s next scheduled appearance is at the Essence Music Festival, after which he’ll do more European dates. No word yet on the release date on the eagerly awaited follow-up to his acclaimed album Voodoo.
