SNL’s David Pumpkins Makes An Appearance in all your Favorite Horror Movies

Just when you thought the internet was safe from David Pumpkins….
David S. Pumpkins fever is sweeping the internet. Seriously, everyone’s obsessed with either loving or hating this oneoff sketch from last week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. If you are the last person on the internet to watch the sketch, we’ve included it below, to eradicate (or add to) your confusion.
In the sketch, a young couple went out for some Halloween thrills to a haunted elevator ride, where the elevator opens up on 100 floors of thrills. There are a few floors, but most of the floors involve a character — David S. Pumpkins (Tom Hanks, obviously)– and two dancing skeletons. It made no sense to the couple who were looking for some good scares (or the audience). The internet is mad for or mad at the sketch with various websites and TV shows either praising or hating on the bit, and costume manufacturers couldn’t make the costume fast enough. We thought it was kind of funny, but found it a little less polarizing than everyone else.
But writer Jesse McLaren just made David Pumpkins funny for everyone, by inserting David S. Pumpkins and his friends into seven of your favorite horror films.
He’s his own thaaaang and we’re just PART OF IT.
Any questions?
