When the Marlins lost their star pitcher José Fernández, all of baseball and its fans came together to honor the pitcher who died tragically in a boating accident at the beginning of what many thought looked like a Hall of Fame career. Teammate Dee Gordon hit a lead-off home run that ended with every single player in the dugout crying. So Tom Hanks, sometimes there IS crying in baseball.
