In what many consider a response to Pokemon GO, PETA has released their new app “This Beautiful Creature Must Die”, partnering up with the lead singer of The Smiths, Morrissey. The whole point of the game is saving animals from being chopped up, which is a little confusing considering the name of the game. Morrissey said “This game is the biggest social crusade of all, as we safeguard the weak and helpless from violent human aggression,” and “You don’t get that from Pokémon Go.” Yes, because the main thing you get from Pokemon GO is FUN.
