A Rod Asked To Play Third For Final Game And Was Denied
When A Rod took the field in his last game as a Yankee, he asked manager Joe Girardi if he could play 3rd Base, the position he spent years at, but Girardi said no because they are “trying to win games”. A Rod is currently looking for an adult recreational softball team to give him a last turn at 3rd.
Interesting nugget on @TMKSESPN: ARod asked Girardi if he could play third base on Friday. Girardi said no.
