Remember “Tea Lizard” Your Favorite Childhood TV Character? No?

Twitter went insane earlier today over Good Morning America’s tweet about memes, asking if “crying Lebron” would join other famous ones like “crying Jordan” and “tea lizard”.

If you haven’t heard of Tea Lizard, it’s because he’s actually Kermit The Frog, which was followed by thousands of responses asking how anyone could not recognize such an iconic character. To GMA’s credit they did apologize to Kermit, but not before thinkpieces were written about why it was problematic and even racist.
