According to Buzzfeed, Simpsons fans have been arguing for decades over the meaning of a Homer line in the episode “You Only Move Twice.” The article makes it seem as if the question has destroyed friendships, torn worlds apart and almost ripped the fabric of time. Homer’s new boss Hank Scorpio says about his new moccasins, “Don’t like them? Then neither do I! [throws away the moccasins] Ever see a guy say goodbye to a shoe?”. Homer says Yes, once. And thus begins this so-called great debate. When Homer says once, does he mean that one time just now? Or once before?
Jesus the things people take interest in. How are we supposed to ‘Make America Great Again’ when this is where the country’s big debate is taking place?
