The Mariners Honor Ken Griffey Jr In The MLB Draft

In the 24th round of the MLB Draft, the Seattle Mariners selected Trey Griffey, who doesn’t even play baseball. Trey plays football at the University of Arizona and the Mariners did this in the 24th round, his father’s number, in the same season that Griffey will go into Cooperstown and the Mariners make him the first player to have his number retired for the team. Sucks for the kid who doesn’t get drafted because of this.
